Committee fosters dialogue among Midwest's leaders in education policy

The committee last met July 17, on the first day of the 2016 Midwestern Legislative Conference Annual Meeting; presentations can be found below.

 

Committee resources on the Every Student Succeeds Act

The MLC Education Committee is working to keep its members and all state legislators in the Midwest up to date on the impact and implementation of the federal Every Student Succeeds Act — a 2015 federal law that makes major changes in the state-federal relationship on education policy. MLC Committees

The bipartisan MLC committees are made up of state and provincial legislators from across the Midwest. They foster the regional exchange of information and ideas on key policy issues impacting the region and its states. They also facilitate interstate cooperation.
