CSG Midwest
produces several publications focusing on regional issues.
Stateline Midwest,
published monthly, keeps members of the
Midwestern Legislative Conference up to date on policy issues
impacting their states, actions being taken by the region's 11 state
legislatures, and work being done by the MLC and The Council of State
Governments. Each issue of Stateline Midwest includes in-depth
articles covering issues of importance to Midwestern lawmakers. The
newsletter also has sections devoted to a roundup of news from the
region's leading newspapers and summaries of recent reports examining
key public policy issues.
Firstline Midwest,
published 11 times a year, provides a thorough
review of actions being taken or considered in the Midwest regarding a
specific state public policy issue. The four-page publication
highlights relevant legislative proposals being pursued in the region
and reviews measures recently approved by lawmakers.
Articles and publications listed by
topic are available for browsing. Anyone interested in learning more about a particular subject or public
policy area can view all of the articles done by CSG Midwest on the
topic for Stateline Midwest, Firstline Midwest or
the office's various special reports.
CSG Midwest's publications are provided
free of charge to state government officials. Those outside state
government can subscribe to Stateline Midwest for the annual
subscription rate of $60 and to Firstline Midwest for
$25.
